Faith happens one step at a time and is an ongoing journey. It starts when we make the decision to believe in and follow Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. The next step is public demonstration of your faith through water baptism. At Mosaic, we believe that through baptism and making your faith public, you bless us with the opportunity to support and encourage you in your faith journey.
Jesus asked His followers to be baptized, and He set the example for us from the start! We pray you will take this next step of faith, confident that we are right there beside you, celebrating and growing with you along the way.

What is Baptism?
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision & our way of showing others your decision to follow Christ. We observe baptism through immersion, meaning you are lowered into the water and then raised back up out of the water. The act of being lowered into the water is a way to identify with the death of Christ, and rising back out of the water symbolizes the new life that you now have through Jesus.
“For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with Him, you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.” - Colossians 2:12

Why should I be baptized?
When you have decided to place your faith in Christ, baptism is a way of making your faith public. Jesus tells His followers to be baptized, & set the example for us when He was baptized.
"Go then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples, baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you." - Matthew 28:19–20
